Sexually transmitted diseases are a type of disease that can be passed from person to person by many forms of sexual contact. These different forms of contact can be oral, anal, or vaginal. STDs are seen in different forms such as bumps, rashes, or unseen to the naked eye. Some common STDs are chlamydia, herpes, syphilis, and HIV/AIDS. A person of any gender, race, or age can get an STD but there is different stigma attached to that person depending on their gender. Gender influences people to view the STD and that person who has it differently. This paper is set out to find why gender affects people’s views of STDs and how moral panic can set in depending on the STD. The topic of women and STDs are not a good mix when it comes to society’s opinions. Many people other than me eat fast food daily and have become a habit for them. In addition, due to the rise in costumers, fast food industries opened many more restaurants, which led to a higher demand of meat. I could still remember few years ago, when I saw the young migrant workers wandered on the streets of my city, my feeling was abhorrent, repugnant. This negative impression was caused by their significant identities as physical workers: untidy appearances, odd smells, strong accents and low education. Even though they looked young, they were sophisticated and unctuous to work in the society. Being a teacher requires that you give up a lot of your time and patience in hopes that your students succeed in life. Seeing your students become doctors, lawyers, or maybe even the president of the United States can be very rewarding even though teachers rarely gain recognition for their students accomplishments. However, teachers are rewarded not just intrinsically but extrinsically. One extrinsic reason for why I want to become a teacher is because I get a great work schedule. Teachers get the weekends off, not to mention the summer and winter breaks as well. Being a student I was accustomed to having a summer tofu was able to keep the same lifestyle and still able to go back to my Job when the school year started. Becoming a teacher was very appealing to me because I had a desire to Join the Peace Corps upon graduating college and there are opportunities for teachers to travel around the world and teach in different countries, especially the third world countries.
